Online poker casino games sites allow gaming members to play one of the greatest online casino card Aussie casino games that ever existed poker. Although a lot of people know how to play the game of poker, there are still a large number who do not have a single clue on what poker is and how it is played. A newcomer should not panic and think how silly he is, because theres always a first time for everything.

Now, bear in mind that since you are playing for the first time, you may want to ask your relatives or friends for some ideas about the game or at least have a glance of the basic poker rules that are available online. Do not worry, anyone can play Texas Holdem Online Poker . All you need is determination, a positive outlook and an open mind which are the main golden rules of online UK Poker .

When your mind is all set, find the best online gaming site which you think will suit your needs and will offer you the best benefits and customer service. Do not just sign up and give your personal information into any site. Be reminded that not all online gaming sites are genuine and reputable. Bear in mind, that due to many people getting attracted to playing online every day, there are fraudulent sites that prowl on unsuspecting, unwary newcomers like you who will take advantage of your personal information. The next time you know, you are issued a court order for the enormous money you owed your credit card company. You do not want this to happen, so be extra careful.

Now that you know most of the rules, it is time for you to join the poker room. Do not depend too much on luck, unlike playing roulettes, playing poker needs you to be attentive on the cards you have and that of other players which you can base your moves or deals and use for your own advantage.

Here is the game. Mr X takes a drink from his glass of Jack Daniels and, tossing in some chips, says Raise you forty

His opponent considers his cards. He has a full house, three jacks and a pair of queens. It is the best hand he has had all night; definitely a top hand. The pot s big and there is just something about Mr X that indicates his hand might be superior. My X has been caution all night, now suddenly he has turned aggressive. There are other tells: he raised without hesitating whilst staring into my eyes. Yes, all this bits of information are crucial. Poker, that the game of poker , bluff and double bluff. This is more like psychology than cards.

At least that is how conventional wisdom sees it But is it true? A new poker playing computer is taking on human poker champions. This computer is the Deep Blue of Poker, the equivalent of the computer that beat the world Chess champion. Computers have become more important in superior casino and other gambling games, such as bingo , and can now be brought into poker.

There is however a major difference between poker and chess. Chess is entirely rational, but poker is just as much about the people who play it as it is about the cards they are dealt. A champion poker player is a champion at deceit and risk management, of cunning and guile. To an outsider his play might appear irrational, but he knows it is optimum. So how can a computer compete with this?

Ordinary poker playing programs are good with the cards, but are easily outplayed by even reasonable poker players as they are very poor at bluffing. Bluffing is all about persuading people that your weak hand is strong and your strong hand is weak. It is about sowing the seeds of doubt in your opponents mind.

Similarly, it is equally important to spot when your opponent is bluffing you. This is the land of poker tells. The good player learns more than he teaches.

So, can this new poker playing computer take on all this and beat the champions? We will keep you informed on progress.

Online Poker On the Up and Up in 2012
Online poker traffic in the first week of 2012 has increased by almost 10 percent, according to an independent online poker study performed by PokerScout, an online poker traffic monitoring website. Although the general trend was to have an increase in traffic at online poker sites, it seems that the French PokerStars site had somewhat of a decline in its player base. It has been said that the reason for this is the new way that PokerStars has decided to calculate the rake, and the new version of how to calculate VIP points. It seems that many poker players have chosen not to play at PokerStars in protest. PokerStars.com, however, has had about a 5 percent increase for real money games during the same time period. While PokerStars.com has had some increase in traffic, it is not as high as the increase in the traffic to other online poker operations. Party Pokers increase in player volume reached 29 percent in the first week of January, and this increase is most likely because of the changes that this poker site has made because of its VIP rake race promo which was launched on 2nd January 2012. Because of this increase in players, the online poker site moved up in rank to reach the position of the second largest online poker site in the industry, with the iPoker Network drooping down a position. While online poker traffic was up for the first week of the New Year, 2011 showed a general decline in online poker traffic by 31 percent on a global level. This decline, however, is due to the legal actions that took place in the United States that was aimed at some of the bigger online poker sites such as PokerStars, Absolute Poker, and Full Tilt Poker.

Team Titan and Sorel Mizzi on a Roll
Submitted on Fri, 2010-05-21 05:25 Sorel Mizzi, who made his name as a monster online poker player and signed with Team Titan at Titan Poker one month ago, has been burning up the poker tables in Europe. Mizzi finished in the money twice recently. European Poker Tour On the European Poker Tour (EPT), Mizzi captured sixth ($190,000) at the Grand Final High Roller event. As we noted in a recent article, the European Poker Tour is considered to be the richest poker tour around, with over a dozen events across the continent and one tourney in the Bahamas. Back in April, Mizzi was signed as the guru of Team Titan. Titan Poker has made it a priority to find new players online and mentor them into champs. When they signed Mizzi last month, he was already considered to be a top player and became the designated captain of the team. World Poker Tour His latest finish in the money was last week at the World Poker Tour Rendez-Vous a Paris. He finished second winning $159,000 in a 25-player, $20,000 buy in. Freddy Deeb took the main prize in the event. Thus far this year Mizzi has won $1,266,960. Watch out if you’re sitting across the green felt from him. Team Titan at Titan Poker has found a winner.

Strategy with Kristy Podcast: Jared Bleznick
November 17 2011, Kristy Arnett Related Articles Strategy with Kristy Podcast: Lex Veldhuis Discusses Pot-Limit Omaha Strategy with Kristy: Randal Flowers Discusses Bluffing Preflop Strategy with Kristy: Andrew Seidman Discusses His Book, Easy Game Share It Tags Black Friday, Jared Bleznick, Omaha, PokerNews Podcast, Poker Strategy, South Point, PokerNews Strategy Print Jared “harrington25″ Bleznick was a prominent figure in online tournaments and cash games before Black Friday. He has since moved out of the country to play but recently said he will no longer be playing online. Instead, hes offered his services as a coach. For this edition of Strategy with Kristy, brought to you by South Point, Bleznick talks about what it takes to be poker professional, beginner pot-limit Omaha strategy, and advice he has for those considering making poker a career. Here is a snippet from the interview: As a no-limit holdem player, I understand when to three-bet preflop, but in pot-limit Omaha, it seems like players are getting in buy-ins so frequently. So I guess my question is, what are you considering when three-betting in pot-limit Omaha? To talk about what you first said about players getting it in by three-betting and four-betting preflop thats honestly because everyone literally just has a gambling problem. Im being serious. Everyone just gambles in Omaha because the edges are so small in any individual hand. If you take eight-nine-ten-jack double-suited and you put it up against ace-ace-two-six with a suit, youre basically a very small dog. When you take into account the blinds and the dead money, youre basically flipping. Lets say a guy is playing with $200,000 in his account and another guy is playing with $20,000. The guy thats three-betting with eight-nine-ten-jack [with $200,000 in his account] is eventually going to bust you because youre flipping and the guy has you covered with his bankroll. As for the three-betting, I think you should be three-betting a lot more when youre deeper. It allows for a lot more play. If you three-bet a guy that has 100 big blinds, and he four-bets you with aces, at the point, youre not even playing poker anymore. Youre just gambling. If you do it when youre really deep, you can actually play poker. These guys that do that and three-bet and four-bet and constantly get it in are literally putting their money in and closing their eyes. Its just stupid, honestly. When I say the games are tough, its because the edges are small. So even if a guy is doing that, hes never in that bad a shape. Its not like in holdem where youre getting it in in a 80/20 or 70/30 situation. Youre getting it in at like 55/45. A lot of people cant overcome that.

Ohio Casino Gambling Begins In March With Cleveland Opening
The state of Ohio has lagged far behind other states when it comes to casino gambling, but that is set to change in 2012. The first of Ohio’s four approved casinos will be open in March, and the Cleveland facility is expected to receive visitors from all across the state. The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland is set to open its doors in March, as a temporary gaming facility. The casino will be four floors of excitement for those who have waited all their life to play poker, slots, and other table games within the states’ borders.”I have lived here for twenty-five years,” said Jacqueline Biero. “And in that time I have traveled to Las Vegas at least ten times. I had no choice, it cost me a lot of money in airfare, but now I don’t have to do that no more. I can’t wait until the Cleveland casino opens, and the best part is it’s only twenty minutes from my house. It’s going to be amazing.”Biero’s sentiments are shared by many Ohio residents. After years of turning away casino proposals at the polls, voters finally cracked after the 2008 economic recession, authorizing four casino resorts. Rock Gaming, owned by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, has the rights to the Cleveland and Cincinnati casinos, while Penn National Gaming will develop the Columbus and Toledo gaming facilities.Horseshoe Casino Cleveland will have over 2,000 slot machines, a poker room equipped with thirty tables, and several dozens table games. The casino will be at the center of downtown Cleveland, and the operators are expecting that the lure of the city will draw people to the casino. Cleveland is hope to the popular tourist attraction, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.Opponents have tried their best to stall the casino development in Ohio. The anti-casino groups argue that the casinos will bring increased crime and gambling addiction. These arguments have been disputed, and proven to be outdated, in other states.Lawmakers expect that the Ohio casinos will bring hundreds of millions of dollars to the state budget. In addition, thousands of jobs will be created. Temporary construction jobs have already been filled over the past year, with many of the permanent positions within the casinos being filled in recent months.

Top 5 Poker TV Shows
published on 03/04/11 at 9:00 am Looking to catch some great poker action on your television set this week? Then, this is the article that clues you in about where all the poker action is. So, read on to find out which TV channels you have to set your dial to for watching shows packed with poker glitz!! #1 Poker TV Show: GSNs High Stakes PokerThis show was launched in 2006 and was one-of-a-kind among all existing poker shows because one could sit alongside the top poker professionals from all corners of the globe, such as Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu of PokerStars, and Jen Harman as opposed to the tournament format of other shows. Thus, this show allowed viewers to watch the poker biggies gamble with their personal cash (tons of it, really considering each player had to buy-in using USD 100,000 with variations of deals one doesnt normally get to see anywhere else. #2 Poker TV show: ESPNs World Series of PokerThis show has got to be the biggest ever in televised poker event history since nowhere else can viewers tune in to such a tremendous variety of poker games. You have Texas Holdem, 7-card Stud andOmaha played high with the Main Event being the real crowd puller because it is here that the nail-biting finish table action has everyone betting on who will walk away with the No Limit Holdem tournaments multi-million dollar first prize! #3 Poker TV show: World Poker TourThis show definitely has all the poker nuts tuning in to the WPT and also dragging along family and friends to watch the action after it launched with much fanfare in 2003. It rapidly climbed up the TRP charts and became the Travel Channels top rated program because of great poker tournament coverage from across the countrys best casinos. Each hand that is relayed on the TV screen causes hearts of poker fans to beat faster with the pace of the action speeding up across all the different channels the show airs on: from Fox Sports to Travel Channel to GSN, which is sponsored by PokerStars.net, viewers have a choice of which channel they want to change the dial for in order to be part of the poker claim to fame just like the pros featured on this show! #4 Poker TV show: Bravos Celebrity Poker ShowdownThis show really built up the games popularity, much like the shows listed above because it brought in a niche audience to watch their favorite stars vying for great poker prize pools amid light-hearted bantering and some fabulous on-screen chemistry between the hosts: Phil Gordon of FullTilt and Dave Foley who came across as naturals when it came to informative commentary of the shows action. Lots of poker fun, cool prizes, celebrity flavors and the rumors of poker veteran Phil Hellmuth taking to the hosting keep this TV show on the hot list of many card game enthusiasts. #5 Poker TV show: GSNs Poker RoyaleThis TV show about poker is unique because it combines two opposing groups that come together to duke it out at the poker table, across different segments like Girls versus Boys or Celebrities versus Professionals. Three players from each group face each other at the No Limit Holdem tournament and compete for the host of prizes and of course, fan favor!

Pius Heinz wins 2011 WSOP
The 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event title has finally been claimed. Pius Heinz, a 22-year-old professional poker player from Cologne, Germany, took the title holding Ace-King against Martin Staszko’s Ten-Seven. Neither hand improved and Heinz took home $8.7 million with ace-high. Not only was Heinz the first German to win the Main, he was the first to sit at the final table. Over 6800 players from 85 different nations started the event over 13 days, with a prize pool of $64,540,858. The top 693 cashed and the tournament broke, as usual, over a period of five months between the body of the event and the final table, the “November Nine.” Notably, third-place finisher Ben Lamb was looking to culminate a sick, sick run at the WSOP. He place in five consecutive tournaments, making the final table of four of them, and winning one of them. This unheard-of streak locked him up solidly for the WSOP Player of the Year title. For the first time, the Main Event was broadcast (almost) live. There was a delay of several minutes to limit the ability of players to exploit the private pocket card cameras. Although this could potentially allow players to learn about very recent hands during breaks, creating a unique angle on the most important final table of the year. The continuing high turnout of the WSOP is taken as proof that the allure of poker continues throughout the world despite a federal crackdown against online poker. # Player Earnings Country 1 Pius Heinz $8,715,638 Germany 2 Martin Staszko $5,433,086 Czech Republic 3 Ben Lamb $4,021,138 United States 4 Matt Giannetti $3,012,700 United States 5 Phil Collins $2,269,599 United States 6 Eoghan O’Dea $1,720,831 Ireland 7 Bob Bounahra $1,314,097 Belize 8 Anton Makiieveskyi $1,010,015 Ukraine 9 Sam Holden $782,115 United Kingdom Copyright 2011 Ace Nine, LLC Legal | Contact Us | Site Map
